Provided is a method comprising determining polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1) activity in a cancer in a patient by measuring phosphorylation of a PLK1 target (a) prior to treatment of (i) the patient or (ii) a cancer sample from the patient with a PLK1 inhibitor, and (b) after the treatment. Also provided is a method comprising determining polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1) activity in a cancer in a patient by measuring phosphorylation of a PLK1 target without treatment with a PLK1 inhibitor.La présente invention concerne un procédé comportant la détermination d'une activité de kinase 1 de type Polo (PLK1) dans un cancer chez un patient par mesure de la phosphorylation d'un PLK1 cible (a) avant le traitement (i) du patient ou (ii) d'un échantillon de cancer issu du patient avec un inhibiteur de PLK1 et (b) après le traitement.
