[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a conveyance system in which failure of conveyance of a container can be suppressed to a minimum； and a medicine dispensing system using the conveyance system. [Solution] A conveyance system 30 comprises a conveyance direction changing unit 45, a detecting unit 46 that detects arrival of a tray T at the conveyance direction changing unit 45, and a control unit 100. The detecting unit 46 includes: a first detecting device 46g capable of detecting the presence/absence of an object at a downstream side in the conveyance direction in the conveyance direction changing unit 45； and a second detecting device 46h capable of detecting the presence/absence of an object at an upstream side, in the conveyance direction, relative to the first detecting device 46g. When the tray T is normally positioned at the conveyance direction changing unit 45, the first detecting device 46g detects the tray T but the second detecting device 46h does not detect the tray T. Under a condition that each of the first detecting device 46g and the second detecting deice 46h have detected an object, the control unit 100 determines occurrence of a failure in arrangement of the tray T.
