PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent capable of continuously suppressing the generation of malodor derived from urine by clarifying a malodor component more highly contributing to uraroma than ammonia in a living environment and inhibiting an enzyme related to the generation.SOLUTION: There are provided: a &bgr-glucuronidase inhibitor comprising solvent extract of peppermint a composition for suppressing the generation of uraroma containing the &bgr-glucuronidase inhibitor and a method for suppressing the generation of uraroma. A discharge type product for suppressing the &bgr-glucuronidase inhibitor is produced by storing the &bgr-glucuronidase inhibitor in a container provided with a discharge device, and a uraroma generation suppressing effect is imparted to a sanitary product by containing the &bgr-glucuronidase inhibitor.
