The present invention addresses the problem of providing a composition that comprises a sterol ester, said sterol ester being an oil agent having poor water solubility, and exhibits excellent transparency, stability, foaming properties, rinsing properties, skin feel (during rinsing and/or after use), and emollient properties. The composition has a pH in the range of 4-8 and comprises: (A) a sterol ester (B) one or more anionic surfactants selected from (B1) N-acylamino acids having a C8-22 acyl group or salts thereof and (B2) polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfates or salts thereof (C) a betaine amphoteric surfactant (D) a mono-C8-14-fatty acid glyceryl (E) C5-6-hydroxy alcohol and (F) water.La présente invention aborde le problème de fournir une composition qui comprend un ester de stérol, ledit ester de stérol étant un agent huileux ayant une solubilité dans leau médiocre, et présente une excellente transparence, une excellente stabilité, dexcellentes propriétés de formation de mousse, dexcellentes propriétés de rinçage, une excellente sensation sur la peau (pendant le rinçage et/ou après lutilisation) et dexcellentes propriétés émollientes.
