The present invention relates to an aqueous cleansing composition comprising at least three anionic surfactants and a non-ionic surfactant providing exceptionally good colour stability for artificially coloured human hair. The object of the present invention is an aqueous cleansing composition comprising three anionic surfactants and a non-ionic surfactant wherein it is substantially free of amphoteric surfactants and the total surfactant concentration is in the range of 4 to 50% by weight calculated to the total of the composition.
