PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose combine-harvester performing a screening control which, when a layer thickness sensor S consists of a potentiometer, prevents failure of the potentiometer so as to increase the service life of the layer thickness sensor S so that the layer thickness of a processed product on an oscillating screening body 60 can be accurately detected for a long time.SOLUTION: In a general-purpose combine-harvester, a layer thickness sensor S is disposed between a receiving net 54 and an oscillating screening body 60 so as to detect existence of a processed product or layer thickness based on a rotation angle of an operation piece 84 arranged at a rotational shaft 82a of a potentiometer, and at least an upper side of the layer thickness sensor S is protected so that the processed product leaked down from the receiving net 54 does not directly collide with the potentiometer 82 and the rotational shaft 82a thereof.
