PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushion body for mattresses rationally performing both of support of a body while suppressing sinking thereof by a relatively firm cushioning property and support of the body dispersing a body pressure by a soft cushioning property.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a cushion body for mattresses according to the present invention includes: forming a plurality of rows of width-directional cuts 4 penetrating from an upper surface to a lower surface, in a load support layer 2 with a relatively-firm cushioning property within a range of an appropriate shape corresponding to a part where the body pressure of a user in a supine state becomes high due to the relatively-firm cushioning property, and an adjacency thereof and placing a flexible layer 3 with a relatively-soft cushioning property on a lower side of the load support layer 2.
