PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushion body for a mattress, enabling rationally performing both supporting the body while suppressing sinking by a hard cushioning property, and supporting the body by scattering a body pressure by a soft cushioning property.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a cushion body for a mattress includes the steps of: forming a plurality of rows of notch 4 comprising only one of the longer direction and the width direction by penetrating from an upper surface to a lower surface, in a range of an appropriate shape of a load support layer 2 having a hard cushioning property and arranging a flexible layer 3 having a soft cushioning property at a lower side of the load support layer.
