Disclosed herein is a method for improving the yield and/or improving the vigour and/or increasing the tolerance or resistance to abiotic stress factors of at least one plant variety, comprising treating the plant propagules with N-(3,4 ,5-trifluorobiphenyl-2-yl)-3-difluoromethyl-1 -methyl-1 H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide, where improving the yield and improving the plant vigour and increasing the plants tolerance or resistance to abiotic stress factors are independent of the pesticidal action of said carboxamide.
