PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aquarium system for experimentally culturing small aquatic animals, keeping experimental accuracy good when carrying out an evaluation test of a medicament or an exercise tolerance test by using the small aquatic animal.SOLUTION: The aquarium system 1 for experimentally culturing the small aquatic animals is equipped with a plurality of aquariums 3 in which the small aquatic animals 2 are cultured individually, piping 5 for feed, for feeding water to the aquariums 3, piping 7 for recovery, for recovering the water discharged from the aquariums 3, a storing vessel 4 storing the water to be fed to the aquariums 3, and a pump 9 for forming a water-circulating passage by sending the water recovered from the piping 7 for the recovery to the piping 5 for the feed. The piping 7 for the recovery is equipped with piping 12 for circulation, forming a water-circulating passage, piping 13 for discharge, for discharging the water to the exterior, and a valve 11 for introducing the water to either of the piping 12 for the circulation or the piping 13 for the discharge. When the water in the piping 7 for the recovery is discharged to the piping 13 for the discharge by the operation of the valve 11, the water in the storing vessel 4 is fed to the aquariums 3 through the piping 5 for the feed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】小型水生動物を用いて薬剤の評価試験や、運動負荷試験を行う場合に、実験精度を良好に維持できる小型水生動物実験飼育水槽システムを提供する。【解決手段】小型水生動物2が個別に飼育される複数の水槽3と、水槽3に対して水を供給するための供給用配管5と、水槽3から排出される水を回収する回収用配管7と、水槽3に供給する水を貯留した貯留槽4と、回収用配管7から回収された水を供給用配管5に送ることで水循環路を形成するためのポンプ9とを備え、回収用配管7には、水循環路を形成する循環用配管12と、水を外部に排出する排出用配管13と、水を循環用配管12または排出用配管13のいずれかに導く弁体11が設けられており、回収用配管7の水が弁体11の操作によって排出用配管13に排出されるときには、貯留槽4の水が供給用配管5を通して水槽3に供給される小型水生動物実験飼育水槽システム1によって達成される。【選択図】図1
