PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic apparatus, adequately applying a laser beam to a patient eye.
SOLUTION: This ophthalmic apparatus includes a laser beam application optical system for applying a laser beam for cornea operation to a patient eye while aligning the reference axis that the laser application optical system has with a predetermined positional relationship with the patient eye. The ophthalmic apparatus further includes: a moving means for changing the inclination and position of the laser application optical system with respect to the patient eye first and second imaging means used for imaging the anterior ocular segment of the patient eye and disposed in a positional relationship with respect to the reference axis and having imaging optical axes in different directions an eye detecting means for detecting the inclination and position of the patient eye with respect to the reference axis by processing the anterior ocular segment images captured by the first and second imaging means and a control means for controling the moving means according to the results of detection by the eye detecting means so that the reference axis of the laser beam application optical system is in the desired aligned state with respect to the patient eye.
