The sheath unit (1) for recovering a thrombus capture member (2) includes a sheath (12) having a flexible tube (11) at its tip, a portion of the flexible tube (11) being reduced in diameter. The thrombus capture catheter unit includes the sheath unit (1) for recovering the thrombus capture member (2) and the thrombus capture member (2). The thrombus capture member which is expanded is accommodated into the sheath (12) and a crossed wire member (22) andaportionofafilterpart (21) constituting the thrombus capture member (2) are accommodated in the flexible tube (11), thereby diameter-reducing an opening part of the filter part (21) .
