PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nurse call system that, when a patient does not be present in a sick room, is capable of reporting the absence and is further capable of displaying the patients present location.SOLUTION: A nurse call system comprises: IMES transmitters 9 installed at many locations in a hospital including a shared place, inspection room, and sick room, the IMES transmitters transmitting positional information a position transmission terminal 10 worn by a patient for transmitting its own positional information generated on the basis of a received origination signal from an IMES transmitter 9 a base station 6 installed at an appropriate position in the hospital, the base station receiving transmission signals from a portable terminal 4 and the position transmission terminal 10 and an IMES management device 11 that has previously stored relation between the patient and the position transmission terminal 10 and grasps the patients position from a signal from the position transmission terminal 10 received by the base station 6 before storing the grasped position.
