PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bait log 16 that is changeable in mass due to change of an attachable and detachable weight 24 and includes the detachable weight 24 hardly falling off from a body 18.SOLUTION: A bait log 16 comprises a body 18, an eye 20, a hook part 22, an attachable and detachable weight 24, an arm 26, an engaging part 28 and a pin 30. The attachable and detachable weight 24 is freely attachable and detachable to and from the body 18. The bait log 16 includes no weights fixed to the body 18. The engaging part 28 is fixed to the body 18 by the pin 30. The engaging part 28 has a groove. The arm 26 is fitted into the groove. The arm 26 and the engaging part 28 interrupt forward movement of the attachable and detachable weight 24. The arm 26 and the engaging part 28 prevent the attachable and detachable weight 24 from falling off from the body 18.
