The present disclosure is related to a bioactive fraction of the methanolic extract derived from leaves of the Rhoeo discolor plant with antiviral activity against the influenza AH1N1 virus. This invention is focused to the pharmaceutical area and specifically related to the medicament manufacturing, for the treatment of infections caused by this virus consequently, the production method of the fraction is specified, ensuring the presence of the 5 flavonoids responsible for the anti-influenza activity. In addition, was further demonstrated that this bioactive fraction acts at the inhibition level of the hemagglutinin, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet approved any medications that perform at this level, so the MF1fraction represents a viable alternative according to the experimental data obtained.La presente invención está relacionada con una fracción bioactiva del extracto metanólico de las hojas de la planta Rhoeo discolor con actividad antiviral contra el virus de la influenza A, H1N1. Esta invención está enfocada en el área farmacéutica para la fabricación de medicamentos para el tratamiento de la infección causada por este virus, por lo que se especifica el método de obtención de la fracción, el cual garantiza la presencia de los 5 flavonoides responsables de la actividad anti-influenza, además se demostró que esta fracción bioactiva actúa a nivel de afectación de la hemaglutinina, actualmente la FDA (Food and Drug Administration) aún no ha aprobado ningún medicamento que actué a este nivel, por lo que la fracción MF1 representa una alternativa viable según los datos experimentales obtenidos.
