PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide more effective technique for improving throat-passing feeling of a beverage.SOLUTION: A beverage having improved throat-passing feeling comprises 2-isobutylthiazole as a component for improving the throat-passing feeling. There is also provided a vegetable beverage, a fruit juice and fruit juice taste beverages, a soybean beverage, a cereal-containing beverage, a sports drink, a coffee beverage, a tea beverage, a milk beverage, near-water, or a beer taste beverage in which the amount of 2-isobutylthiazole contained in the beverage is 10-700 ppb. There is also provided a beverage in which the amount of 2-phenylethanol contained in the beverage is 0.05-20 times the amount of 2-isobutylthiazole contained in the beverage.
