PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus which can obtain a high quality coronary artery image.SOLUTION: An imaging core is configured to transmit an ultrasound energy pulse or to receive a reflected ultrasound energy pulse. An intravascular ultrasound imaging system includes an imaging engine which is coupled to the imaging core and configured to give an energy pulse to the imaging core so as to make the imaging core transmit the ultrasound energy pulse. The energy pulse consists of repetition sequences. The energy pulses of the respective sequences have different characteristics.
