In embodiments of the invention, the cosmeceutical formulation is aqueous, or it comprises an oil and water emulsion, comprising about 80% purified water and about 10% components of an oil phase. Also disclosed are methods of using this system to treat damaged skin, or to prevent the damage of skin from, e.g., wounds or aging.
