The present invention relates to a cyanobacteria removal agent, and a method for removing cyanobacteria or preventing the propagation thereof. The cyanobacteria removal agent of the present invention comprises: with respect to 100 parts by weight of water, 0.5-95 parts by weight of zinc sulfate and 0.5-5 parts by weight of aluminum sulfate. The cyanobacteria removal agent of the present invention can be produced inexpensively and is highly effective at removing cyanobacteria, and therefore can be advantageously used as a cyanobacteria removal agent.
