The invention relates to a liquid, aqueous pharmaceutical composition comprising a Factor VIIa polypeptide, a buffering agent suitable for keeping pH in the range of from about 5.5 to about 8.5 and an active site stabilizing agent, which is selected from the group of: (S)-2-{2-[5-(5-carbamimidoyl-1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-6,2-dihydroxy-5-sulfamoyl-biphenyl-3-yl]acetylamino}-succinic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof (R)-2-{2-[5-(5-carbamimidoyl-1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)-6,2-dihydroxy-5-sulfamoyl-biphenyl-3-yl]acetylamino}-succinic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a mixture of the (S)- and (R)-forms or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
