PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sugar-coated food having a smooth lick feeling and a crisp feeling, which foams at the moment of biting and gives a liquid feeling extended to inside of the mouth.SOLUTION: The sugar-coated food is a tablet candy that has a central layer containing an acid ingredient and a sugar alcohol. It has also a sugar coating layer five times or more heavier than the central layer, which is a multilayer consisting of an alkaline component layer, a sugar layer, and a vitamin C overlapping each other. The sugar layer is in a crystal state, and its grain size is in a range of 5-15 μm.
