PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter capable of planting seedlings by forming planting holes relatively deep for seedling transplant of a specific kind such as tobacco seedling without collapsing the holes and further boring the planting holes without disarranging mulch films covering ridge surfaces.SOLUTION: The transplanter includes a hole boring tool 51 boring a planting hole while lifted/lowered and inserts a transplant seedling in the planting hole and plants the seedling. The hole boring tool 51 includes: a plunging part 51a with a sharp tip and a cylinder 51b with diameter equal to or larger than diameter of the plunging part 51a.
