<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect trap which can trap insects without performing troublesome maintenance. <；P>；SOLUTION: This insect trap 1 comprises an outer hull 4 having an opening 41 for sucking an insect 2, a suction portion 5 for sucking the insect 2 from the opening 41 into the outer hull 4, a trapping portion 6 disposed between the opening 41 and the suction portion 5 to trap the insect 2, and a pressurizing portion 8 for pressurizing and depressurizing the trapping portion 6. The trapping portion 6 has holes 61 whose each inner diameter is gradually reduced from the opening 41 to the suction portion 5. The cross-section of each hole 61 is reduced by the pressurizing operation of the pressurizing portion 8 to nip the insect 2 trapped in the hole 61 into a small size. Then, the cross-section is increased by the depressurizing operation of the pressurizing portion 8 to facilitate the passage of the nipped insect 2 through the hole, followed by sucking the insect 2 from the hole 61.
