PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator capable of generating mist of acidic soft water containing a large amount of hydrogen.SOLUTION: A voltage is applied between a metallic anode 2 and a cathode 3 which are made of an ion adsorption material and disposed in an electrolytic bath 1 so as to face each other, so that water 10 retained in the electrolytic bath 1 is electrolyzed. Metal ions contained in the water 10 are adsorbed onto the cathode to generate acidic soft water. The generated acidic soft water is sucked by a water absorption core 60 and fed to an atomizer 6 to generate mist. Also, a metallic electrode 3a connected to the cathode 3 is caused to face a metallic electrode 2a which is part of the anode 2. Hydrogen generated around the metallic electrode 3a by the electrolysis between the metallic electrodes 2a and 3a is collected by a collection cylinder 5, is discharged in the neighborhood of the atomizer 6 from a discharge outlet 51 at an upper end, and is dissolved in the mist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
