PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PPARγ ligand derived from the genus Abies of the family Pinaceae and a composition having the same as an active ingredient for preventing or improving metabolic syndrome, and further a composition for preventing or improving a state or syndrome exhibiting 2 or more selected from a group consisting of insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, hyperlipemia, hypertension, visceral fat obesity, and fatty liver.SOLUTION: The present inventors found that extracts extracted from a tree leaf of the genus Abies of the family pinaceae have a dual ligand activity of PPARα and PPARγ and further found that the active ingredients contained in these extracts are levopimaric acid and neoabietic acid having the ligand activity of PPARα and PPARγ, to complete the present invention.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】マツ科モミ属由来のPPARγリガンド、およびそれを有効成分とするメタボリックシンドロームを予防または改善する組成物、さらにインスリン抵抗性、2型糖尿病、高脂血、高血圧、内臓脂肪型肥満、脂肪肝からなる群より選ばれる2つ以上の状態または症状を予防または改善する組成物を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】マツ科モミ属の植物の樹葉からの抽出物にPPARαとPPARγのデュアルのリガンド活性を見出し、さらにこれらの抽出物に含まれる活性成分がPPARαとPPARγリガンド活性を有するレボピマール酸およびネオアビエチン酸であることを見出し、本発明を完成した。【選択図】なし
