The invention relates to a prosthetic post, which can be used especially advantageously in connection with a dental implant system according to DE 10 2007 018 453 B3, wherein the endosseous implant and the abutment are integratively combined in the dental implant. The prosthetic post, which is used to mechanically fasten the prosthetic (11) to the dental implant (1), is composed of a biocompatible material having a modulus of elasticity less than 100 kN/mm2. If fiber materials having direction-dependent moduli of elasticity are used, materials having moduli of elasticity less than 100 kN/mm2 for forces acting laterally to the fibers and for forces acting along the fibers in the compression direction are selected. As a result of using the prosthetic post, the static and dynamic tensile and compressive stresses occurring during chewing are transmitted into the relatively soft jaw more evenly than when using conventional prosthetic posts made of titanium or ziconium oxide.
