Multimeric compounds that bind to P-Selectin Glycoprotein 1 (PSGL-1) on the surface of T cells or natural killer (NK) cells can be used to induce T cell or NK cell depletion and/or to induce T cell or NK cell apoptosis. The multimeric compounds and methods of the invention can be used to control unwanted T cell-or NK cell-mediated immune responses in conditions such as inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, transplant rejection, and allerg ic diseases.本發明係利用能與T細胞或自然殺手細胞表面上之P-選擇素醣蛋白配位體1(P-Selectin Glycoprotein Ligand 1,PSGL-1)結合的多聚複合體化合物(multimeric compounds)來誘發T細胞及/或自然殺手細胞的耗盡及/或細胞凋亡機制。本發明之多聚複合體化合物及方法可在如發炎、自體免疫疾病、移植排斥與過敏性疾病等狀況下，用來控制受T細胞或自然殺手細胞媒介與調控之不需要的免疫反應。
