PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for efficiently manufacturing an absorbent article with excellent outer appearance where the end edges of waist panels are excellently formed.SOLUTION: The method manufactures an absorbent article having the waist panels 3. The panels 3 are expansible sheets 30 fixed in a state where string shape elastic bodies 7 are extended in an x-direction between belt shape sheets 5, 6. The method includes: a process for allowing the elastic bodies 7 to be wound between string conveyance longitudinal structure bodies 12, 13 by using an elastic body winding means 14, so as to be held by fixing between the belt shape sheets 50, 60, and forming an expansible sheet 30 by cutting the extension parts of the string shape elastic bodies 7 a division process for cutting the belt shape sheets 50, 60 at center parts and a process for exchanging the positions of the two expansible sheets obtained by cutting, forming the waist panels 3 by cutting, joining the waist panels 3 to an absorbent body 2 so as to allow cutting edges 91 to be directed and extended outward in the x-direction of a diaper 1, and then, forming the diaper 1.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】ウエストパネルの端縁が揃っており、外観の良い吸収性物品を効率よく製造することができる製法を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明はウエストパネル3を有する吸収性物品を製造する方法である。パネル3は帯状シート5,6の間に糸状弾性体7をx方向に伸長した状態で固定した伸縮性シート30である。本発明は、弾性体巻回手段14を用いて弾性体7を糸搬送用長手構造体12,13間に巻回後、帯状シート50,60間に挟んで固定し、糸状弾性体7の延出部を切断して伸縮性シート30を形成する工程を備える。また、本発明は、帯状シート50,60を中央部にて切断する分割工程と、切断により得られる2本の伸縮性シートの位置を入れ替え、切断によりウエストパネル3を形成し、ウエストパネル3を、切断縁91がおむつ1のx方向外方に向くと共に延出するように、吸収性本体2に接合し、おむつ1を形成する工程を備える。【選択図】図2
