PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving apparatus of an electric vehicle that can reduce the installing space of the motor.SOLUTION: The driving apparatus 20 of an electric wheelchair 1 includes: a traveling drive mechanism 30 that provides torque to drive wheels 21 and 22； and a drive wheel link mechanism 50 that rotates a first drive wheel 21 and a second drive wheel 22 in a mutually coupled state and moreover, includes a compound motor 70 that contains a first motor 40 that drives the traveling drive mechanism 30 and a second motor 60 that drives the drive wheel link mechanism 50.
