PURPOSE: A composition containing genistein for promoting migration or proliferation of stem cells is provided to effectively resolve a stem cell supply problem and low survival rate in a tissue, and to be used as a novel stem cell therapeutic aid. CONSTITUTION: A composition for promoting migration or proliferation of stem cells contains 10^-15M to 10^-10M of genistein. A method for promoting migration or proliferation of stem cells comprises a step of treating the stem cells with genistein at a concentration of 10^-15M to 10^-10M. The stem cells are proliferated by increase of expression of CDK2, CDK 4, cyclin D1, and cyclin E. A stem cell therapeutic aid contains the composition.
