PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic image diagnostic apparatus which can obtain an ultrasonic image utilizing a higher harmonic component having a wider range and excellent in distance resolution in a depth direction.SOLUTION: A transmission part 102 outputs pulse signals having mutually-different drive waveforms to an ultrasonic probe 103 a plurality of times at a time interval. A reception part 104 generates a plurality of pieces of sound ray information on the basis of each reception signal obtained from reflection ultrasonic waves of the transmission ultrasonic waves respectively generated by the plurality of times of the pulse signals. A calculation part 106 performs calculation with a plurality of kinds of calculation methods by using the plurality of pieces of sound ray information generated by the reception part 104 and obtains the respective calculation results. A synthesis part 110 synthesizes the plurality of calculation results obtained by the calculation part 106.
