PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the blood pressure and the presence or absence of arrhythmia at the same time by simple operations and to alleviate a burden on a subject.SOLUTION: After pneumatically pressurizing a cuff belt wrapped around an upper arm of a subject in a predetermined manner, when the pressure is reduced, the pulse wave under pressure of the subject is detected by a strain sensor 7. By analyzing a frequency component including Korotkoff sounds from the detected pulse wave under pressure, the systolic blood pressure and the diastolic blood pressure are measured and the presence or absence of arrhythmia is detected from the cycle of the pulse wave under pressure.
