PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scirpusin B-containing composition that is a composition derived from a naturally occurring substance and contains scirpusin B in a high content and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The scirpusin B-containing composition containing 0.2-99.9 mass% of scirpusin B is obtained by extraction from passion fruit seeds. In extracting scirpusin B, passion fruit seeds are ground, mixed with at least one selected from a water-containing alcohol-based solvent and a water-containing ketone-based solvent, shaken or heated under reflux to extract scirpusin B in the solvent.
