A dermatological or cosmetic skin care composition that comprises a salt of α-hydroxy acid, β-hydroxy acid, polyoxy acid or bionic acid selected from one or more of gluconic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, mandelic acid, benzylic acid naphthoic acid, malic acid, tartaric acid, lactobionic acid and maltobionic acid； in combination with niacinamide. 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein the acid salt is selected from sodium, potassium, ammonium, triethanolamine, arginine, zinc, copper, and magnesium salts. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the acid salt and niacinamide are present in the composition in a total amount in the range from 0.1 to 20% by weight of the preparation, usually in the range from 1.0% to 15% by weight of the composition. The composition of claim 1, wherein the acid salt is present in an amount of at least 0.1% by weight of the composition. The composition according to claim 4, wherein the acid salt is present in an amount of at least 2.0% by weight of the composition. The composition according to claim 1, where the acid salt is present in an amount not exceeding 10% by weight of the composition. The composition of claim 6, wherein the acid salt is present in an amount not exceeding 7% by weight of the composition. The composition according to claim 1, where the acid salt is present in the range from 3.5% to 6.5%. The composition of claim 1, wherein the acid salt is a gluconate salt. The composition according to claim 1, which includes two acid salts. The composition of claim 10, wherein the two acid salts are gluconate and salicylate. The composition of claim 1, wherein the concentration of niacinamide is at least 0.01 percent by weight of the composition. The composition of claim 12, wherein the concentration of niacinamide is at least 0.1 percent by weight of the composition1.
