595084 Disclosed is an adhesive ejecting apparatus (100) for applying adhesive to a web in the construction of absorbent articles, such as nappies. The adhesive ejecting apparatus comprises an adhesive reservoir, a flow pipe (113) and an ejecting mechanism (111, 112). The reservoir and the flow pipe form a closed loop in which the adhesive from the reservoir flows in continuous circulation. The ejecting mechanism is connected to the flow pipe via an intake pipe and an outlet pipe. The ejecting mechanism (see figure 5) comprises a supply unit, a distribution unit, at least one ejector unit and a restricting unit. The supply unit supplies the ejector unit with the adhesive flowing from the flow pipe. The distribution unit provides an amount of adhesive from the supply unit to the ejector unit and returns the surplus back to the flow pipe. The ejector unit ejects the adhesive toward a to-be-joined member. The restricting unit limits the amount of adhesive returned to the flow pipe. The restricting unit is located outside the closed loop connected in fluid communication with the closed loop.
