PURPOSE: A river bank and a construction method thereof are provided to enable fishes to live in a gap formed between broken stones by forming a support layer having broken stones in the bottom end of the river bank. CONSTITUTION: A river bank comprises a ground layer(100), a support layer(110), a lower earth layer(120), an upper earth layer(130), a latticed wire net(140), an earth separation preventing net(150), and reinforcing sheets(160). The ground layer is formed by mixing quicklime or firming agent with earth. The support layer is formed on the top of the ground layer. The lower earth layer is formed in the side of the support layer. The upper earth layer is formed on the top of the support layer and the lower earth layer. The earth separation preventing net is formed in one side of the latticed wire net. The reinforcing sheets are formed on the top of the upper earth layer and prevent the upper earth layer from collapsing.본 발명은, 축조가 용이하고 생태계의 파손이 방지되는 하천둑 및 그 축조방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 의한 하천둑은, 하천의 바닥면을 형성하며, 생석회 또는 고화제와 토사의 혼합으로 이루어지는 지반층(100)과； 하천 양안의 하부층을 형성하는 지지층(110)과； 상기 지지층(110)의 측방에 형성되며, 토사로 이루어지는 하부토사층(120)과； 상기 지지층(110)과 하부토사층(120)의 상측에 구비되며, 토사로 이루어지는 상부토사층(130)과； 토사나 돌의 흘러내림을 방지하는 격자철망(140)과； 토사의 이탈을 방지하는 토사이탈방지망(150)과； 상기 상부토사층(130)에 다수의 층으로 구비되어, 상부토사층(130)의 붕괴를 방지하는 토목강화시트(160) 등으로 구성된다. 이와 같은 본 발명에 의하면, 축조가 용이하면서도 생태계의 파손이 방지되는 이점이 있다.
