An apparatus and method for reconstructing a digital mammography composite image according to an embodiment of the present invention may be performed by reconstructing a digital mammography composite image by using a modified deep residual network modified from a deep residual network, which is one of artificial neural networks. Therefore, digital mammogram images can be provided, enabling early and accurate diagnosis and treatment of lesions such as breast cancer.본 발명의 실시예에 따른 디지털 유방 단층촬영합성 영상의 재구성 장치 및 방법은 인공 신경망 중 하나인 심층 잔여 네트워크를 수정한 수정 심층 잔여 네트워크를 이용하여, 디지털 유방 단층촬영합성 영상을 재구성함으로써, 번짐 현상의 로우 레벨 특징 및 하이 레벨 특징을 모두 효과적으로 제거할 수 있도록 한다. 특히 신속하게 번짐 현상을 저감할 수 있으며, 포아송 잡음에 취약하지 않고, 재구성된 디지털 유방 단층촬영합성 영상 내의 종양의 위치와 관계없이 종양의 검출능이 향상된다. 그러므로, 디지털 유방 단층촬영합성 영상을 제공할 수 있어, 유방암과 같은 병변을 조기에 정확하게 진단하고 치료할 수 있도록 한다.
