PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fishing baits that can be stored at room temperature for a long period of time and put on a distribution channel at room temperature, and to provide a fishing bait production method.SOLUTION: Provided is a fishing bait consisting of a fermented component obtained by fermenting the component of a first animal, or/and the component of a second animal obtained by sprinkling or/and infiltrating a fermentation liquid produced in the fermentation. The first animal is a fish, and the fermentation is a fermentation for producing a salted and fermented fish. The second animal is a fish. The component of the second animal is not heated.
