PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bait the handling of which is easy and the influence on the environment of which is small.
SOLUTION: The bait for chum is obtained by thawing frozen opossum shrimps, draining off water in natural manner, dehydrating 20-40% based on the total mass of water from the opossum shrimps to give main parts 1, sprinkling rice flour obtained by grinding non-glutinous rice so that it becomes a separation material 2, while separating the opossum shrimps into each of the opossum shrimps and freezing the opossum shrimps each becoming in a separable state and by making the bait separate easily without having to thaw, and which causes less drips at use, less generation of odors and environmental pollution.
