PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical method for treating glaucoma, and a relevant treatment device.SOLUTION: Trabecula bypass surgery forms a bypass in a diseased trabecula 21 using a seton implant 31. The seton implant is used so as to interfere a healing process known as billing-in, wherein an opening generated by a surgical operation in the trabecula is easy to close. The surgical method and new implant are addressed to the trabecula 21 which is the main site of resistance to an outflow in the glaucoma. An existing outflow pathway is also used or restored in addition to forming the bypass in the diseased trabecula at the level of the trabecula. The seton implant 31 is arranged through the trabecula so that its exit end part is arranged within a fluid collector channel around an external surface 43 of the trabecula 21 or upto the level of an aqueous vein while the entrance end part of the seton implant 31 is exposed to an anterior chamber 20 of an eyeball.【課題】緑内障を治療するための外科的方法及び関連の治療装置を提供する。【解決手段】線維柱帯バイパス形成外科術は、セトンインプラント３１を用いて病んだ線維柱帯２１にバイパスを形成する。セトンインプラントは、線維柱帯内において外科手術により生成された開口部が閉鎖しやすい、閉塞として知られる治癒過程を妨げるように使用される。外科的方法及び新規なインプラントは、緑内障における流出に対する抵抗の主な部位である、線維柱帯２１に向けられる。線維柱帯のレベルにおいて病んだ線維柱帯にバイパスを形成することに加えて、現存の流出経路も、使用されるかまたは修復される。セトンインプラント３１は、セトンインプラント３１の入口端部が眼球の前房２０に露出されるとともに出口端部が線維柱帯２１の外面４３の周りにおいて流体コレクタチャネル内にまたは房水静脈のレベルまで配置されるように線維柱帯を通り配置される。【選択図】図７
