PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper in which right and left projecting length of a fastening tape is shortened in a state before use.

SOLUTION: Each of fastening tapes 41 on both right and left sides of the disposable diaper includes a first fastening part 411 and a second fastening part 412 apart from each other in right and left directions on an inner surface 414 of a tape base part 413. In the disposable diaper in a state before use, each fastening tape 41 is folded back at a folding-back line 431, and the first fastening part 411 is temporarily fastened to an inside surface 422 of a common base part 42 positioned to a body part 2 side of the fastening tape 41 and the second fastening part 412 is temporarily fastened to an inner surface 414 of the tape base part 413. Thereby, projection length of the fastening tape 41 to right and left sides can be shortened. On the other hand, the first fastening part 411 and the second fastening part 412 are temporarily fastened without overlapping to each other to prevent fine hook structures of the first fastening part 411 and the second fastening part 412 from being overlapped to crush and to prevent both fine hook structures from engaging to each other to break upon releasing.
