The invention relates a use of a Cleome rutidosperma extract for manufacturing compositions for anti-neuroinflammation by applying an effective does of a Cleome rutidosperma extract to a subject in need for inhibiting expression of inflammation-related genes and production of nitric oxide (NO), and for stimulating expression of heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1), wherein the Cleome rutidosperma extract is manufactured by 95% ethanol extraction. Accordingly, the Cleome rutidosperma extract can be utilized in manufacturing health food and pharmaceutical composition for anti-neuroinflammation, so as to slow down or reduce neural inflammation.本發明有關於一種皺子白花菜(Cleome rutidosperma)萃取物用於製備抗神經發炎之組合物之用途，其係將一有效劑量之皺子白花菜萃取物投予至一所需個體，以抑制發炎相關基因的表現及一氧化氮(NO)的生合成，並促進第一型血紅素加氧酶(heme oxygenase 1，HO-1)的表現；其中皺子白花菜萃取物係利用95%的乙醇溶液萃取而得；藉此，皺子白花菜萃取物可用於製備抗神經發炎之保健食品或醫藥組合物，達到延緩或降低神經發炎的現象。
