PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating diseases characterized by the overexpression of ErbB2, such as cancer.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method comprising administering an initial dose of at least about 5 mg/kg of anti-ErbB2 antibody to a patient and subsequently further administering to the patient multiple times an amount of antibody that is about the same amount or less than the initial dose. Preferably, the subsequent administration is performed after the interval of at least one week from the initial administration.
