A fluid atomizer disclosed herein generally addresses the need to improve known structures for delivering a fluid. The fluid atomizer (12) comprises a proximal portion (18) including: a body (24)； an intermediate portion (20) including legs (34) connected to the body (24) of the proximal portion (18)； and a distal portion (22) including a shoulder portion (42) connected to the legs (34) of the intermediate portion (20), wherein the shoulder portion (42) includes a distal surface (46), wherein the intermediate portion (20) is between the proximal portion (18) and the distal portion (22), and wherein the distal portion (22) further includes a head portion (54) adjacent to the shoulder portion (42), wherein the head portion (54) includes a distal surface (56) and a side surface (58) between the distal surface (46) of the shoulder portion (42) and the distal surface (56) of the head portion (54), and wherein the side surface (58) of the head portion (54) includes a plurality of radially inwardly projecting recesses (60), each of the recesses (60) extending along an entire height of the head portion (54) from the distal surface (46) of the shoulder portion (42) to the distal surface (56) of the head portion (54).
