PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiopaque and biodegradable material having a sufficient imaging property and a favorable biological safety.
SOLUTION: This radiopaque and biodegradable material contains a radiopaque material in a biodegradable material, wherein the radiopaque material is defined to change its property from low-water solubility to water solubility by ionization and is contained in the biodegradable material in the low-water soluble state before the ionization. Preferably, ionic contrast medium is used as the radiopaque material.
