PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a drying device for moisture-containing substances further securely continuously drying the moisture-containing substances such as vegetable, Tofu lees, fish offal and sludge by hot air.SOLUTION: A horizontally set cylindrical hollow chamber 102 and a box cylinder-shaped upper hollow chamber 107 having a lower end communicated with the hollow chamber 102 are arranged. A hot air current transformation plate 11 for transforming a flow of hot air is arranged in the upper part within the upper hollow chamber 107 along the vertical direction. A hot air supply passage 103 is arranged in the vicinity of a bottom of the hollow chamber 102 along the tangential direction of the circumference of the hollow chamber 102 so that the tip is opened on the peripheral face of the hollow chamber 102. A moisture-containing substance supply passage 104 is projectedly erected and arranged between the upper hollow chamber 107 and the hot air supply passage 103 so that the tip is opened on the peripheral face of the hollow chamber 102.
