The present utility model generally relates on the method of rapid multiplication of plant materials for seed production on winged or water yam (Dioscorea Alata) through slips which comprises the steps of: enhancing the tubers by covering it with Carbonized Rice Hull Ash (CRHA) in trays； watering the planted tubers done to enhanced the growth of the slips； separating the slips from the tubers after sprouts have at least three developed leaves； gathering the slips from the tubers； covering the tubers again with CRHA to allow another set of sprouts to grow； gathering again the slips two times or until no slips are develop； transplanting the slips in soil mixed media； drenching it with complete foliar fertilizer until three months for nourishment with one month interval； and watering it continuously to maintain the moisture. Wherein the said soil mixed media comprises of sub-soil + CRHA with ratio of 1 :2.
