PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that measurement by a conventional measuring method for a spectral transmittance of a visual optical system takes a long time, the mental/physical burdens of a subject is large, and the measurement system itself is a large scale and costly to manufacture, occupies a large installation space, and is not handily used.
SOLUTION: This simple estimation method derives a light intensity ratio among colored lights which average observers in the same classification feel isoluminance out of a plurality of different colored lights radiated from a measurement light source, based on spectral luminous efficiency of average observers classified by age and progression of symptoms, creates classification correspondence data corresponding the light intensity ratio to the classification, asks a subject to observe the light of an LED light source whose light intensity ratio is changed by the different colored lights, when receiving a report to feel isoluminance, sorts the subject to a corresponding classification from the light intensity ratio of the colored light emitted then based on the classification correspondence data and estimates the spectral sensitivity characteristics of the subject from the sorted classification.
