PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for collecting a needle to be discarded, and a component for collecting the needle to be discarded, enabling a user to easily remove a used injection needle unit without directly touching it and without using a complicated instrument when removing the used injection needle unit.SOLUTION: The container 10 for collecting the needle to be discarded is adapted to collect an injection needle part 96 screwed with the tip of a syringe body 90 through a holder 94. The container 10 for collecting the discarded needle includes a container body 12, and an opening 14 located in the upper face of the container body 12 and formed with an insertion hole 100 into which the holder 94 is inserted. The opening 14 includes a grip means 64 gripping the holder 94, and a ball spline shaft 48 and a bearing 50 which rotate the grip means 64 in association with the linear motion of the grip means 64 in the extended direction of the insertion hole 100.
