1. A skin adhesive composition for attaching a substrate to the skin, the adhesive composition comprising an acrylate-based adhesive and an adhesion modifier. The skin adhesive composition of claim 1, wherein the adhesive composition comprises from about 40% (based on the total weight of the composition) to about 95% (based on the total weight of the composition) of an acrylate-based adhesive. The skin adhesive composition of claim 1, wherein the adhesion modifier is selected from the group consisting of colloidal particles, crosslinked acrylate copolymers, and combinations thereof. The skin-adhesive composition of claim 3, wherein the adhesion modifier is a colloidal particle selected from the group consisting of microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, silica gel, silicon hydroxide, and combinations thereof. The skin adhesive composition of claim 3, wherein the adhesion modifier is a crosslinked acrylate polymer selected from the group consisting of an allyl methacrylate crosspolymer, an allyl methacrylate / glycol dimethacrylate crosspolymer, a lauryl methacrylate / glycol dimethacrylate derivatives thereof, and a cross-linked crosspolymer thereof. The skin adhesive composition of claim 1, wherein the adhesive composition contains from about 1% (based on the total weight of the composition) to about 50% (based on the total weight of the composition) adhesion modifier. A skin-adhesive composition according to claim 1, further comprising a skin-beneficial agent, wherein said skin-beneficial agent is selected from the group consisting of antiperspirants, deodorants, skin moisturizers, moisturizers, pH modulators, sedatives, antimicrobial agents, preservatives, film-formers and their combinations. 8.
